There is only one word to describe Paraguayan weather: scorching! It is almost always hot and sunny, with very high humidity. When it does rain, it tends to be for short,
intense storms which often cause flooding and extensive damage. The hottest month is January, with average temperatures of 28 centigrade though it is not uncommon to have 35+ with over 90 percent humidity. Winter temperatures average a pleasant 18 degrees, though expect a couple of weeks of miserable cold weather. Summer is the wettest time, with about 150mm of rain, compared with only 51 in July. There is some rain on bout 100 days a year, with about 50 of those being thunder storms. So, take a hat and plenty of sun cream if you go!
