Cardiff is the capital city of Wales and is located on the south coast. It is a small city with a population of only 300,000.  Even though the country is bilingual, with all signs

and documents in both English and Welsh, in Cardiff people tend to speak only English. It's a friendly place with plenty of pubs and shops and the bay can be very pleasant in summer. Its an attractive city, with the castle right in the centre giving it an historical feel.
